FOAN2025

The primary goal of FOAN 2025 is to bring together and present the latest research in the field of fiber optics technologies aimed at end-users, both residential and business. The idea behind the workshop is to create an opportunity to learn new things by gathering scientists and experts from academia, industry, and operators in the field who will, during the workshop, share their knowledge, experience, and ideas.

Previous FOANs

After the successful workshops in Moscow (2010), Budapest (2011), St. Petersburg (2012), Almaty (2013), Brno (2015), Lisbon (2016), Munich (2017), Sarajevo (2019), Ljubljana (2021), Valencia (2022), Ghent (2023), and Athens (2024), we will continue this year with a workshop as a full physical event in Szczecin, Poland.

Abstract submission: May 1
Full paper submission: May 14,
Notification of acceptance: June 30;
Camera-ready: September 10
Date of FOAN2025: September 9-11;

The invited speaker has not submitted a paper for the FOAN2025 proceedings.
Keynote speakers are chosen among authors of peer-reviewed accepted papers.
Based on the invited talk, the author will be invited to publish in the journal Fiber and Integrated Optics.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
All previously published proceedings are listed in the Web of Science (Core selection) and Scope database.
The journal Fiber and Integrated Optics will publish a special issue based on presented papers/presentations.

1st STEP - SUBMIT YOUR PAPER FOR REVIEW in IEEE format

The following are the steps you should take to upload the final version of your paper and present it:

1. Read your paper several times before submitting.

2. Prepare the PDF file with the following characteristics

IEEE single-space, two-column format;
The paper must be formatted to fit on A4.
Page numbers must not be used; it will be added automatically.
Do not insert any footers or headers.
Do not use any PDF security features in submitted PDF files.

3. Verify that your paper is created using the IEEE templates—see above in the IEEE Manuscript template.

Prepare the PDF file in accordance with the IEEE PDF specification.
- IEEE single-space, two-column format;
- The paper must be formatted to fit on A4.
- You can download the template from this link ;
The producer of the proceedings will insert the page numbers. So please make sure there is not a number on your pages.
Do not insert any footers or headers; don't include IEEE code.
Do not use any PDF security features in submitted PDF files, i.e., they must be fully accessible and editable by the proceedings producer for numbering and other production purposes.
Don't use hyperlinks in the text.

Authors of accepted papers must register and pay a registration fee before July 1, 2024 (early registration).

All registration and payment will be handled by the EDAS conference system by credit card.

If you must use wire transfer, please contact the chair.
