The primary goal of FOAN 2024 is to bring together and present the latest research in the field of fiber optics technologies aimed to end-users, both residential and business. The idea behind the workshop is to create an opportunity to learn new things by gathering scientists and experts from academia, industry, and operators in the field that will during the workshop share their knowledge, experience, and ideas.
After the successful workshops in Moscow (2010), Budapest (2011), St. Petersburg (2012), Almaty (2013), Brno (2015), Lisbon (2016), Munich (2017), Sarajevo (2019), Ljubljana (2021) , Valenica (2022) and Ghent (2023) we will continue this year with a workshop as a full physical event in Athenas, Greece,
Industry speaces:
1. Verify that your paper is created using the IEEE templates – see above in IEEE Manuscript template.
Proofread and check layout of your manuscript (it is highly recommended that you do this BEFORE going to IEEE PDF eXpress.):
2. Create or check your PDF file by IEEE PDF eXpress
3. According to the IEEE policy the contact author of each paper accepted for presentation in the FOAN2024 has to fill in the IEEE Copyright Form. The online IEEE eCopyright form is available in the EDAS.
Note that without a signed IEEE Copyright Form your paper cannot be submitted for indexing in the IEEE Xplore® database.
4. In accordance with the rules of FOAN2024, all papers will be presented in physical form, provided that at least one registration has been paid per by September 30. Several registration possibilities are shown below.
5. Submit the final, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF(s) to the FOAN2024 via your EDAS profile.
Please DO NOT change the file NAME i.e., its PIDxxxxxxx code generated by the IEEE PDF eXpress portal.
All FOAN2024 articles submitted for inclusion in the FOAN2024 Proceedings must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification for compatibility.
IEEE PDF eXpress is a free service to IEEE conferences, allowing their authors to make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs or to check PDFs that authors have made themselves for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF Check function)

FOAN2019 was an enriching experience we are very grateful to have been part of, and we are already looking forward for FOAN2020!
FOAN 2021 which I saw it as an excellent high quality event on Fiber Optics in Europe. On my opinion I can put it at the same level with FTTH Council Europe conference and ECOC on top 3 yearly events on Fiber Optic in Europe for the fiber optic specialists.
